Mats Julian Hummels (born December 16, 1988 in Bergisch Gladbach) is a central defender for Borussia Dortmund,[1]on loan from FC Bayern Munich until 30 June 2009.
Hummels signed his first professional contract on December 19, 2006, with Bayern Munich, until 2010. On May 19, 2007, in 2006-07's final league match, he played his first match with the first team, in a 5-2 home routing of FSV Mainz.
