Matriarch Stakes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Matriarch Stakes is a Grade I turf race for thoroughbred horses run at Hollywood Park Racetrack for a purse of $500,000. The race is open to fillies and mares, age three and up, and takes place over a distance of one mile on the grass. Like all Hollywood Park's Fall turf stakes, the race was on hiatus in 2005.

Searching won this race in 1958. Flawlessly won it three times: 1991, 1992, and 1993.
