Mato Damjanović

Mato Damjanović (born 23 March 1927, Djeletovci) a Croatian chess master.
Damjanović represented Yugoslavia at first reserve board (+6 -2 =2) in the 14th Chess Olympiad at Leipzig 1960, and won individual silver and team bronze medals there.[1] He was awarded the International Master title in 1962, and the Grandmaster title in 1964.
He shared 1st at Kecskemet 1964 (zonal), tied for 2nd-3rd at Sochi 1964 (Chigorin Memorial), won at Zagreb 1969, tied for 2nd-4th at Netanya 1969, took 4th at Amsterdam 1969 (IBM tournament), shared 1st at Bad Pyrmont 1970, shared 2nd at Zagreb 1972, and tied for 1st-3rd at Virovitica 1976.[2]
