Mating Systems and Strategies is a monograph on mating systems written by Stephen M. Shuster and Michael J. Wade. It was published in 2003 by Princeton University Press.
In it, the authors present a detailed theoretical framework for predicting the mating system of a species, given its other life history traits, and its ecology. The book represents the first synthesis in this subject area since the modern synthesis.
