Matey Kaziyski (Bulgarian: Матей Казийски) is a Bulgarian volleyball player. He was born on September 23, 1984 and wearing the shirt with No. 6 in the Bulgarian national team has driven it to major success in a number of competitions. Recently Matey was involved in a contract dispute between his first club Slavia and the Russian Dinamo and his new club Trento. [1] It ended with the player joining the Italian Trento in the summer of 2007. Matey's mother and father were both Bulgarian national volleyball players. Still young Matey trained different sports like football, basketball and even bow shooting and horse riding[2]. His volleyball career started in the juniour team of Slavia Sofia as a setter. Subsequently he played in all positions until he finally became a spiker[2].
