Mater Dei High School is a private Catholic high school on the west side of Evansville, Indiana. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Evansville.
Mater Dei was constructed in 1949 on the west side of Evansville, Indiana as a Catholic, coed, high school. It is in Vanderburgh county, Indiana.
Mater Dei is a college prep school. There is a wide array of extracurricular programs including but not limited to: athletics, theater, music, speech, dance cats, and numerous other clubs and organizations.

Mater Dei has a strong tradition of athletic achievement. Mater Dei belongs to the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference (SIAC).

Mater Dei is 2nd in the State of Indiana on the number of state championships with 12. They trail only Bloomington High School, who has 24.[citation needed]

The Mater Dei Marching Wildcats received 8th place in the Indiana State Marching Finals in 2006 and 5th place in the 2007 State Marching Finals under the direction of Timothy Dickel.
