Matapédia, Quebec

Matapédia (full name: Saint-Laurent-de-Matapédia) is a village at the southern tip of the Gaspé peninsula, in Eastern Quebec, Canada. Its name comes from a Mi'kmaq language word meaning "river junction", as the Matapédia River crosses it, at the junction of the Restigouche River.
