Mata Lakshmi

Lakshmi was the mother of Guru Amar Das, the third Sikh Guru in 1479.
Mata Lakshmi was wife of Tej Bhan Bhalla, a shopkeeper of village Basarke of Amritsar district. Tej Bhan belonged to the Bhalla sub-caste among the Khatris. Amar Das was their eldest son.
