[edit] Biography

Mat Bruso was the vocalist of the Massachusetts hardcore band, Bury Your Dead. He joined the band in 2003, shortly before the band signed to Victory Records and released their debut full-length album Cover Your Tracks. He has also gained a certain degree of renown throughout the hardcore scene when, while filming a live concert for their Live DVD, he was hit in the head with guitarist Eric Ellis's guitar stock[1]. Though he required 12 staples, Bruso was able to finish the remaining 9 songs of the show. The entire after show part of the dvd is him getting his head stapled back up.

[edit] Departure from Bury Your Dead

The band confirmed his departure on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007. An official statement about him has been made available on the band's official MySpace which said that Bruso decided to leave the band so that he could pursue an education and become a teacher as well as planning for an upcoming marriage. He is engaged to Angie Butler.

Also, Mat is currently working in studio with Four Year Strong for their upcoming debut CD, doing mostly vocal work. [2]

He is currently working as a substitute teacher in the Maynard Public School System in Maynard, MA.
