Matías Suárez (born May 9, 1988 in La Falda, Argentina), also known as Oreja, is an Argentine football player, who currently plays forward for Club Atlético Belgrano. He scored one goal in the Clausura 2007, of the Primera División Argentina,[1] against Vélez Sarsfield.[2]

[edit] Career

Suárez started his career at Unión San Vicente and he was later transferred to Belgrano in 2005. He is currently Belgrano's top scorer in the Primera B Nacional Argentina 2007/2008[3]. Due to his recent performances he has attracted the attention of R.S.C. Anderlecht, one of Europe's former top teams, and the biggest club in Belgium.[4] but Belgrano's fan don't want him to leave the club as the team is fighting to gain promotion to the first division. Despite the Belgrano's fans, Suàrez signed in May 2008 a contract with Anderlecht.
