Matías Sánchez (born August 18, 1987 in Temperley) is an Argentine football central midfielder. He was born on August 18, 1987, in the city of Temperley in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Racing Club of the Primera Division Argentina.
Sánchez made his way through La Acadamia youth system to make his debut in a 0-3 defeat by Boca Juniors on March 5, 2006. Since then he has become a regular in the Racing team, appearing in 15 of the 19 games of the Apertura 2006 tournament.
In 2007 Sánchez was selected to represent the Argentina Under-20 team at the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay. He was also part of the U-20 squad that won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.
