[edit] ACC
I'll take a crack at it. My friends in England tell me that Canada is perceived as a "liberal catholic" province internationally. Let me see what I can flesh out. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Carolynparrishfan 22:50, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] History of the ACC
Regarding the unbalanced article: I agree. My contributions were intended to answer the questions: a) what is the first and b) what is the oldest? I think the casual reader wants to know that (for example, the enduring popularity of the Guiness Book of World Records); more so than a lot of the polity of the church. But yes, the article is unbalanced. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 23:49, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, I wouldn't mind. My original intention was to combine the histories of the ACC and ECUSA because they share so much. But on reflection at the time, it didn't seem wise. Maybe, it would make sense to combine them. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 01:01, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Locator Maps
To use a locator map... Go to the lower half of this page about the template usage...Examples which shows the different formats for Croatia and a few other examples. The locator map can use either decimal or degree -minute-seconds of longitude and latitude.
I generally use Geo names to find the locations. Good luck.
All you have to do is change the label, and the longitude, latitude and all should be good to go.
So a copy and paste you could use for Grenfell located at Latitude - Longitude : 50° 25' 00" N - 102° 56' 00" W or 50.416667 (West is always a negative value for longitude in decimal format) -102.933333
So in the infobox under the value of image map, this is the template to paste in. |image_map = ((Location map |Saskatchewan |label=Grenfell |lat=50.416667 |long=-102.933333 |position=right |width=300 |float=right }}
I will adjust the locator map shortly about the locations, give me a few moments longer Kind Regards Julia SriMesh | talk 03:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hello I added the locator map within an infobox for Grenfell, Saskatchewan :-)
For location maps without infoboxes see...some of these examples which also work with the longitude and latitude thrown in - maybe this way is easier. SriMesh | talk 01:28, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan
Hello there, you have done an amazing job on the Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, as well as Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. it is great to see some locations with probably some of the oldest records come online, especially as this was not only a main trading post site, but also as you say considered to the capital of the NWT. Cool. Keep up the absolutely great work. You even have citations! :-) SriMesh | talk 03:52, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Regina, SK article
Don't worry about differences in British vs. American spelling. However you guys write things up in Canada, is fine with me. What I was really referring to is the necessity of a good copyedit prior to nominating for WP:GA or WP:FA, particularly to catch any minor grammatical issues, or wikipedia manual of style issues, that the regular editors might have missed. Though overall, the article is very well written, but sometimes the professional copyeditors might catch things you and I might miss,... ;-) Also, two specific guidelines or templates that might help for the article are WP:USCITY and WP:UKCITIES (sorry, there's no template for Canadian cities; you're always free to start one ;-) ... but hopefully the two should help point you in the right direction towards improving the structure of any city article. Cheers! Dr. Cash (talk) 15:48, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

My edits have nothing to do with the PNG honours system, but rather with WP policy on the use of styles in articles. Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. - Please Assume good faith when dealing with other editors. We must assume that edits made by other editors are for the betterment of Wikipedia, not for some sort stalking medium. You have made many valuable edits to Wikipedia, and we wouldn't want to see all that come down to you being blocked. If you feel you are being attacked, feel free to seek arbitration, or politely discuss the issues with the editor involved. --Kmsiever (talk) 12:51, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- For the record, I was the one who made the most recent reverts, which means, technically, you are now making personal attacks toward two editors, for I am not silly and I do have a life. Please stop with the personal attacks and name calling. It accomplishes nothing and breeds hostility. I don't understand why you would jeopardize all the work you've done. --Kmsiever (talk) 12:37, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

"Notes" is only for footnotes (explanations or comments on any part of the main text). "References" is only for referenced materials (books, websites etc. cited in the main text). Otherwise "Notes and references" should be combined.
You have been informed of this multiple times. If you revert against this again, you will be blocked. If you include a personal attack in an edit summary (or anywhere else) again, you will be blocked. This is your final warning. Lara❤Love 14:20, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ms Crisp
Thank you for your note. I looked a bit into the situation, and it definitely appears that you and she were in a conflict in February, though I'll admit that I have concerns about some of the language that you were using at the time.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] Have there been problems since then, and could you please tell me where that you and she are still interacting? Thanks, Elonka 06:44, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please give me specific recent examples, thanks. --Elonka 07:53, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Masalai, I've looked through your contribs (Masalai (talk · contribs)) over the last month, and I'm honestly not seeing any place where you and Michellecrisp have intersected at all. Am I missing something? If so, please give me a link. If not, my recommendation is to just go back to editing at this point. If she does pop up on your watchlist, let me or some other admin know immediately, and we can deal with things as they come up. But it's really looking to me like the problem is over at this point. If I've missed something though, definitely tell me? --Elonka 09:58, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Indian Head and Qu'Appelle photos
Hello there. I do have more photos not uploaded as of yet...will putter at it tonight. Some were of some awesome old buildings in town which I don't know what they were. Some I will put in category Saskatchewan on commons, some on category Road signs in Saskatchewan. I will start a new category Category:Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan and Category:Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan as well, then you can have a peek at them. I took pictures of the signs around Wascana Park in Regina as well, some turned out better than others. This was last fall, either labour day weekend or the weekend afer... taking a while to get them online :-) We went down to the Roughriders football game. Kind Regards.
