I was first introduced into the world of armchair treasure hunting through Kit Williams' masterpiece Masquerade in 1988 as a High School freshman. A fellow student had shown me that there was a rabbit hidden on each page. I liked the pictures, but didn't have time to read it then. Years later, I checked out the book and was mesmerized by the riddle, the paintings, and the possibility of winning a golden hare. I worked on the wonderful book for months, getting virtually nowhere. While researching at the local library for an English paper, I took a break and did some research on Masquerade. Much to my chagrin, I found out that the Hare had been found back in 1982, when I was in third grade. That disappointment stuck with me for several years.
I am currently working on a book called The Whistle Pig by Duck Miller. It is my hope that I can solve this book and win the Key. More than likely, this key is not worth anything to the public at large, but it would be priceless to me.
