NOTE: The original Mastermind (band) is a progressive rock band from the USA, formed in 1987 by the brothers Bill Berends & Rich Berends. Having released six studio albums worldwide, two live albums and one EP between 1990 & 2005, the original Mastermind has performed live every year from 1987 though 2007 in the USA, Europe, and Japan. More information about Mastermind (USA) can be found on All Music Guide [1], the band's official website mastermindband.com [2], and a Google search [3] lists over 200 entries for Mastermind (USA). Other band members and recording personnel include Jens Johansson, Tracy McShane, and Lisa Bouchelle. Perhaps someone more versed in Wikipedia can sort out how to separate these two entities as there is no relation between Mastermind (Japan) and the original Berends brothers Mastermind (although oddly enough, Jens Johansson [4] did make a guest appearance on a Mastermind Japan recording).
