[edit] Map image!?

"The Massif Central is visible as a large red mass in the mid-southern part of the country."

There is no red on that image. What's up with the description? We need an image that shows where the massif is located. --Ifrit (talk) 10:20, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] A75

The reference to the by now virtually completed A75 motorway (all that remains to do is the completion of the link to the Domitian way east of Béziers) is hardly encyclopedic where it expresses the hope that the motorway will open up the Massif Central. Let us not forget that the exactly the same hope was expressed upon the completion of the rail link between Clermont Ferrand and Béziers in the 19th century, and that far more than serving to open up the region to economic development, the railway served as an escape route for the local population, resulting in the abandonment of villages all over the southern end of the Massif Central. More encyclopedic would be to mention the railway and its several impressive structures, which follows largely the same route as the A75, as well as the mentioning the motorway. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 22:54, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
