[edit] Artistic analysis

I've researched the history of the 1611 painting, and have a reasonable description of the provenance of the painting. However, the article certainly could do with a technical and artistic analysis of the picture. --Popeyedoyle 23:24, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

OK, I've made a start. --Popeyedoyle 02:46, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cost

I have done some research and it seems that the exchange rates were way off, most likely fixed to todays rates and not those of 2002, On July 10, 2002 the GBP to USD exchange rate was .6452 which would mean that 49,500,000 pounds would be roughly 31,937,400 USD at that time, to 74 million or anything else. I am changing it for this reason, if anyone has questions leave them below.--Joebengo 02:51, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

I realized that I had totally messed it all up earlier today, but didn't have an opprotunity to fix it until now, sorry for the confusion.--Joebengo 18:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] How many versions?

Are we sure there were only two versions? Rubens was highly productive, & painted many religious subjects in several versions. Johnbod (talk) 18:31, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

If you find another one at the flea market for a good price, you might want to pick it up (even if you think it's a studio version).--Stomme (talk) 18:40, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
