I removed the "she worked on something TV" and that she is Jewish because there is no reference. Everything else can be confirmed by IMDB. Tamer (talk) 03:50, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

" wasn't raised with any one particular religion. However I'm interested in all beliefs as I view them to be the foundations of societies. I was fortunate enough to have explored many through friends and experiences and came to the conclusion that religion serves as a pedestal for art, charity, and beauty in all things." From her official site MikeSims (talk) 20:34, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Masiela is one of our clients and we'll be launching her website in the next couple weeks. Feel free to inquire for information. We'll be looking at things if they need to be corrected, as well as providing relevant biographical information. MikeSims (talk) 21:54, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

We launched Masiela's site today. I added the link to the sites area. MikeSims (talk) 20:55, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New photo and recent updates on her career

I was looking to add a picture that I had taken of her on the red carpet premiere of "Closer"

Also, I found a recently updated biography and newer quotes on her official site, as well as her IMDB site.

Aaronweinhaus (talk) 00:27, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Stop copying and pasting things off her biographies to here. That's not allowed for copyright reasons. 76.100.210.208 (talk) 00:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
I haven't taken a look at your additions but please be aware that IMDB is generally not regarded as a WP:Reliable source Nil Einne (talk) 13:02, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Unless anyone can find sources outside IMDb then I am going to add it to a weekend Afd list to test the ground on how notable the artist is. I'd like some newspaper citations at least. All Masiela seems to have are small parts and any editor can quickly add those within days to ImDb. Apart from notability (I haven't checked), I don't like ownership issues about articles. Facts which can be sourced, rightly or wrongly, need to meet Wikipedia's standards and then it stands. Any thoughts? -- EhsanQ (talk) 13:25, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
I've added the clean up tag. The fan site and the unconfirmed IMDB info should be removed. But she is clearly notable enough for inclusion. --Kevin Murray (talk) 20:49, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
  • There are now adequate references to meet the minimum standard for inclusion. The Parade magazine article is strong, the otherws are substantially just confirmation. The spirit of notability is whether a person is noticed. This is a bona fide actress about whom our readers will have questions. --Kevin Murray (talk) 19:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
  • Here are some sources
Also, the 'fan site' is not a fan site. It's her official site. I am in contact with Masiela (by phone and email) as her Producer and I can grant permission or clarification to things as necessary with regards to the site. I'll refrain from making too many edits to the main page since it may conflict with Wikipedia guidelines. Any of her posts in her Message Center are her. First person things throughout the site may or may not actually have been written by her, although Mas is very protective of her 'voice' and has a higher level of input into her site than our other clients. I don't know who Aaron is.MikeSims (talk) 23:44, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Per WP:COI, you may not edit articles related to her. --InDeBiz1 (talk) 23:47, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
I have also asked Aaron to stop editing due to COI. Of course it looks like one or both are not the genuine article. --Kevin Murray (talk) 23:51, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Actually, according to the BoLP, there are stipulations where we can edit (Dealing with edits by the subject of the article), but aside from the site link or typos, I'd rather just do things in the discussions to point to the right source to minimize the disruption. It also allows me to prevent my boss from requiring improper usage of Wikipedia since he thinks it is a marketing tool. Kevin, That's not necessarily true. I should have something tomorrow regarding that. Aaron may be on one side of the equation, while I am on another. I work for a company that creates star websites, so my relationship with Mas as a client is totally different than what Aaron may be. MikeSims (talk) 00:24, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

I just checked WP:COI and as long as I personally do not cite her website, cite myself as an 'agent' of her, or promote her or her site, it shouldn't be a problem. Nor should it be a problem for Aaron (if everything is true) as long as WP guidelines are followed. For example, I could see him removing the height reference if it is unverifiable, but he couldn't use his own knowledge of her height to cite. That's why I exercise great caution with anything and use talk. I've also disclosed myself on Mas' and our other client sites. WP:BLPand WP:SELFPUB are clear that I can represent her, under certain conditions. I'll still make sure that I work with Talk first. Is that OK?MikeSims (talk) 00:34, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh, by the way, and this is as good of a place to ask as any... How do I, or Aaron for that matter, go about proving we work with Masiela (or any of my other clients)? I mean, you can see Mas talk to me on my/her Facebook page, but that's hardly sourcable. MikeSims (talk) 00:35, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

It's not really relevant, since we can't use information provided by the subject (company, person, employees). All that you can do is direct us toward verifiable and independent published materials. I am in support of keeping this article, but we won't permit unverified trivia and opinions in the article. Cheers! --Kevin Murray (talk) 00:43, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
That's my plan. No intentions for trivia and opinions in the article. Any thing wrong or libelous, I can remove per guidelines. BLP#Dealing_with_edits_by_the_subject_of_the_article Anything that I think should be corrected or added, I'll notify here and we'll see if we can source it. If there is something you want addressed on Mas' site so that you can source it as her, let me know and I can do that. MikeSims (talk) 00:59, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
We won't be sourcing from her, just third party sources. --Kevin Murray (talk) 04:11, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
I spoke with Masiela and Aaron and everything is on the up and up. I'll work with them to make sure that anything that happens in the future is according to standards. I may get Masiela directly involved so that inaccurate information can be source-checked. MikeSims (talk) 15:45, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
I frequently contact the subject to see whether they know of any articles in mainstream periodicals that we can use for source material. This would include print, online or video. Please help us in that direction. Technically interviews are out, but some discreet direction would be very appreciated. Cheers and have a great weekend! --Kevin Murray (talk) 00:22, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
