Masturbation addiction is a form of sexual addiction or process addiction that involves the overuse or abuse of masturbation. In a process addiction, the euphoric feeling, or high, comes from chemicals released into the brain, rather than from an external source. As the mind becomes accustomed to the release of these chemicals, it searches out for continued sources of that high.
Masturbation addiction could be defined as a psychological addiction to, or dependence upon, masturbation, which could involve habitual fantasizing or the viewing of pornography. In fact, this addiction is not always but usually compounded with and intensified by pornography addiction and often leads to lack of interest in sex with partners.
