Masters of Destruction (also known as Menace of Destruction or MOD) is a Hmong gang founded in and around 1988 by former members of Peace MOD, after a mutual break up in Fresno County, California, north of Los Angeles. The gang was made from the disbandment with Peace MOD. Other gangs that formed from this was Asian Crips, Oriental Ruthless Boys, and Mongolian Boys Society. It was founded with the stated goals of eradicating racism, maintaining dignity on the streets and representing the Bloods. Historically, this gang is made of of mostly Hmong teens, who were brought up in this lifestyle or were either recruited/threatened to join. On occassions, from time to time, Caucasians, African-Americans, and Hispanic youths will be apart of the gang.

[edit] Symbols

Most members will either be tattoo'd with the letters "301" or "MOD". Another way of identifying the gang is through red clothing.

[edit] Long Term Effects

This gang and many others in the Hmong Community are the source of police harassment. Due to this, most younger kids have stayed away from the gang culture. And most Hmong men, who are out of the gang lifestyle, are still being constantly harassed because of the effects of what these gangs are doing.

These kids have not come to the realization that if you work hard, mind your own business, and get an education, there would be no need for any crimes that they are committing. Thus when the realization hits them, they would have already spent half their lives in a correctional facility.
