Master of the Temple

Master of the Temple is the customary title given to the most senior priest of Temple Church in London. The current (2007) Master of the Temple is Robin Griffith-Jones. In mediaeval times, the Master of the Temple was also the leader of the English chapter of the Knights Templar, and was in this position regarded as one of the most powerful clerics in England.
