Route 7A is a state highway and alternate to U.S. Route 7 in western Massachusetts. It has two posted segments, with a total length of 5.83 miles.
The northern segment of Route 7A is located entirely in the town of Lenox, the town known for being the home to Tanglewood, the summer residence of the Boston Pops Orchestra. It was originally part of "old" Route 7 before the creation of a short section of highway bypass east of the center of Lenox.
The road begins north of the town center, where Route 7 becomes a divided highway until its intersection with Route 183. It follows Main Street south to the center of Lenox, where it turns east, coextensive with Route 183 for less than a quarter of a mile before bearing south onto Kemble Street,following the street until it intersects again with Route 7, where 7A merges into Route 7. This segment of Route 7A is just 2.9 miles.
The southern segment of Route 7A is located entirely in the town of Sheffield and runs 3 miles to the Connecticut border, where it becomes the unsigned Connecticut State Road 832 for the third of a mile needed to reach US 7.
