Route 127 is a north-south Massachusetts state route that runs from Beverly to Gloucester. Much of the route is in Cape Ann.
Starting in Beverly at Route 22 near where it meets Route 1A, Route 127 heads east-northeast through Manchester-by-the-Sea and Gloucester (where it first meets Route 128), then north into Rockport, Massachusetts. The route then turns south back into Gloucester, where it ends at Route 128 in Grant Circle, which is a rotary.
[edit] History
Route 127's route in 1930 was almost identical to the current route[1]. However, it originally continued south of Grant Circle to end at itself.[2] It was likely cut back in the mid 1990s.
