Route 122 is a southeast-northwest state highway in Massachusetts. It runs north from the Rhode Island state border in Blackstone/Woonsocket to Route 2A in Orange. Route 122 passes through the following towns:
- Blackstone
- Millville
- Uxbridge
- Northbridge
- Grafton (sharing roadway with Route 140)
- Millbury
- Worcester
- Paxton (sharing roadway with Route 56)
- Rutland
- Oakham
- Barre (sharing roadway with Route 32)
- Petersham (sharing roadway with Route 32)
- New Salem (sharing roadway with U.S. Route 202)
- Orange
Route 122 crosses the following U.S. Highways:
- U.S. Route 20 in Worcester.
- U.S. Route 202 in New Salem.
Route 122 crosses the following Interstate highways:
- Interstate 90 (the Massachusetts Turnpike) in Grafton/Millbury (exit 11).
- Interstate 290 in Worcester (exit 14).
To celebrate Route 122 North becoming a State Scenic Byway, in October and November 2007, BJ Hill walked the 40 mile corridor, beginning in downtown Orange and ending at Worcester State College. Along the way, he filmed the route, step by step, with a shoulder mounted bullet cam. The video and photos can be seen at his website, www.route122.com.
