Route 113 is an east-west Massachusetts state route that connects Pepperell and Newburyport. Its western terminus is at Route 119 in Pepperell, and its eastern end is at US 1 and Route 1A in Newburyport.

Route 113 has several concurrencies along its route. A brief concurrency with Route 3A occurs on the Tyngsborough Bridge when it crosses the Merrimack River. In addition, the route has a longer concurrency with Route 110 near Haverhill, the two routes also have a short concurrency in the vicinity of the rotary where they meet Interstate 93. Another concurrency exists in Haverhill with Route 97.

[edit] History

While Route 113's western terminus has never changed, its eastern end has. It originally ended somewhere in Tyngsborough, likely at or near US Route 3 . It was extended to the Methuen area by 1933, and by 1939 it was extended to its present end, inheriting this section from Route 125.
