Mason Neely (born April 20, 1979) is a record producer, drummer, string arranger, touring musician and multi-instrumentalist living in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to being a member of The Quiet Ones and The Exploding High Fives, he has produced and performed on recordings for, among others, Cerys Matthews, Thad Cockrell, Dawn Kinnard, Owen Powell, Alun Tan Lan and Erin Condo. He has also served as a sound engineer for theBBC and RTE (Ireland).
A trained newspaperjournalist, Neely has worked since 2001 as a writer and editor for a number of publishers including, Community Newspaper Group, Knight Ridder, Gannett and Journal Register Companies, as well asThe MetroWest Daily News, The Milford Daily News, The Chattanooga Times-Free Press and The Chattanooga Pulse where he served as arts editor and national political analyst.
