Masashi Fujimoto

Masashi Fujimoto (藤本 政志)is a Japanese actor, singer, musician and entertainer who lives in London. He was born in Hiroshima in 1963, and graduated in Music in Toyko in 1985 (Kunitachi College of Music). He joined Nikikai Opera in 1988. He moved to Italy in 1992, then to the UK in 1995.

Fujimoto works on classical music projects as a singer and producer as well as undertaking mainstream work in television, theatre, film and commercials. His most high-profile role was as the MC, Mr Banzai, in the Channel 4 and FOX USA show Banzai. In 2007, he appeared in the BBC Two comedy series Roman's Empire as Mr Hokkasawa.

He has also been particularly prolific in voice-over work for computer games, TV and radio commercials. He is the voice of Mr. Okatami for Party Game: Mr. Okatami's Winning Post for Play Station 2 (Team Work Productions) (2007 November release).

He regularly plays the Emperor of China in the pantomime of Aladdin, a role he played in Birmingham at Christmas 2007 alongside John Barrowman.

Masashi Fujimoto lives in East London with his British partner.
