Masaka is a city in southern Uganda, lying west of Lake Victoria. Largely destroyed in the Uganda-Tanzania War of 1979, it lies near Lake Nabugabo. It is the chief town of the Masaka District It has three internet cafes.
Masaka lies 81 miles to the Southwest of Kampala. It was for a long time Uganda's second biggest town. This status today has changed.
