MASwings is a regional airline operating the Rural Air Services (RAS) in East Malaysia. It took over the RAS previously operated by FlyAsianXpress. The first flight was on October 1, 2007[1].
MASwings is a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines.

The airline is planning to replace the fleet of DHC-6-300 Twin Otters with the newer "Series 400" model.
On 9th November 2007, MASWings signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the purchase of 10 ATR 72-500s with options for 5 additional aircraft to expand its services in the states of Sabah and Sarawak in East Malaysia. MASWings is expected to receive delivery of the first 5 aircraft in 2009 and another 5 by 2010.
