Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 01:22, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your post
Hello. You can email me at jbyron93@yahoo.com if you have any questions. Thanks, Happyme22 (talk) 02:00, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- How can I help you Marynega! I've been very busy but will do what I can. IgorBlucher (talk) 10:12, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Griot Speaks
That was a reference to the Ralph Nader Fan Club, a club whose name I mentioned to someone with whom I was exchanging messages. I wouldn't read much into it or take it personally.
Why all the interest in me? Why the five invitations to be in your article, four more than you offered anyone else? What's the dang deal? Griot (talk) 16:35, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- "Your name has come up quite a bit in my reporting..." Whether my name comes up in your reporting will depend, of course, on what you report in your SF Weekly article. Do you mean that people you have interviewed have mentioned by name? That is because you are interviewing the wrong people. The members of the Whitewash Brigade who obsess about my contributions to Ralph Nader articles and follow me from article to article like lonely puppy dogs are not representative of Wikipedia editors, much less Wikipedia editors who live in SF. I suggest interviewing people who have contributed to the Margaret Kilgallen article or articles about various neighborhoods (see Neighborhoods in San Francisco, California). These people are genuinely interested in enlightening others and opening new doors. Griot (talk) 19:24, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Newspaper article
I think I may be interested in the article, but that's not all. You may want to check out my Flickr account, and a direct link to my e-mail can be found on my talk page.
And have you ever thought on working on any articles? Telling people whether they want to work on articles may violate our WP:COI and WP:SPA policies. Thank you, and welcome to Wikipedia! Please respond. —BoL 00:19, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Having Fun Yet?
I see you've found your way around a bit. How are things working out for ya? --BillyTFried (talk) 00:48, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- What, did she get blocked? And I think you may want to because I'm starting to think she's a single-purpose account. —BoL 00:51, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Why Me?
"Hey Griot, I just wanted to give you a heads up--my editor and I have decided to make you the main focus of my newspaper article." If it matters to you, and I suspect it doesn't, it's not something I would wish for. But since my wishes are being ignored, I just have to ask: "Why me?" Is it my elegant prose? Did my many fans -- they throw flowers at my feet and sometimes fire off one-gun salutes in my honor (hope you mention that in your article) -- steer you to me? Your aunt? I make my living partly as a journalist and writer, so I know how these things work. I just hope you're fair even though you never interviewed me or asked for my permission to do this. Griot (talk) 18:32, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- "My article addresses issues of anonymity and questions about transparency (both in Wikipedia and the Internet in general). I know your user page says that you're a college professor/record store owner, and you mentioned you're also a writer/journalist, but it's often hard to tell exactly who it is behind a user profile." So your article, riffing on me, will address anonymity and transparency on the Internet without knowing who I am? Is that fair to someone you don't reall know? I teach at City College. I don't dare give you my name or the name of my business. I've had people from Wikipedia send me videos of them firing guns in response to my edits on gun control issues. I have other less mortal reasons for being anonymous. Why choose me for this exercise? I don't think you've adequately answered. Griot (talk) 22:56, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
"The only biographical information now in my piece is what who already have posted publicly on Wikipedia." That would be info on my User Page? Griot (talk) 19:03, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] note from mary
Hey Griot. I got your note:
Mary, this person may be one of your "Internet presences," but that is no comfort to me. I request that your article have no biographical information about me so anyone like Billy can piece together who I am. I don't want this person to track me down. Griot (talk) 17:27, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
The only biographical information now in my piece is what who already have posted publicly on Wikipedia. Best, MaryMarynega (talk) 18:59, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- That information would be what's on my User Page? Griot (talk) 19:07, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- "'I make my living partly as a journalist and writer.'" That's really the only biographical information that I know about you." Then it's going to be one hell of a riff, your article, if it focuses on me, since that's all you know. I'm a big jazz fan (you can use that). I'm looking forward to reading your article to see how well you thrive on a riff. Good luck to you. Griot (talk) 20:03, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, I was actually adding to what I know about you--in addition to what's on your user page. But if you're a big jazz fan, that's good to know. Thanks, MaryMarynega (talk) 20:12, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I put some more biographical material on my user page at User:Griot. Hope it's helpful to you. Griot (talk) 02:51, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] E-mail
A direct link for my e-mail address can be found on the "Contacting me" section of my talk page, or better yet, click here; it will start your e-mail client immediately. —BoL 21:14, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Jeanne Marie Spicuzza
Hi Boodles. There seems to be some confusion or suspicion that you and I are actually the same user. If anybody should want to reach me to clarify that we are not the same person, I can be reached via email at Mary.Spicuzza@sfweekly.com
[edit] Great Stuff!
I understand you are writing an article on WIkipedia. I suspect we share a similar angle. You may want to check out my talk page for some interesting stuff. If you're interested, I've tracked someone down who's actually filed stalking complaints with the police against a certain Wikipedian, who you seem to have an interest in. I'll be glad to share my info with you. These people need to be exposed and stopped. If interested, leave me a message on my talk page. MegaMom (talk) 09:10, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
