[edit] Racecourse Stubs

Good work with creating all the racecourse stubs, your doing a great job. Keep it up RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or lets have banter 12:22, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

It's very tiring! But I hope it will help stimulate some better articles on horse racing. Marwood 13:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Will you be adding info on whether they are flat or National Hunt venues?

It might also be worthwhile mentioning any famous meets they held. ShakespeareFan00 13:54, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

There is a section in the infobox which states if they are flat or national hunt. There is also an optional section for notable races. I will also be adding logos for each course (under fair use) to the info box, as I have with Towcester Racecourse already. Thanks for contesting the Speedy's, by the way. Not sure what the guy has against the stubs! Marwood 13:58, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Looks like you are doing some good stuff on the racecourse pages - keep up the good work Bcp67 22:28, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Great Leighs

Your article about Great Leighs Racecourse is just titled "Great Leighs". Would it be better to call it "Great Leighs Racecourse"?. There are quite a lot of pages about Essex locations that link to Great Leighs and at the moment they are all linking to the racecourse rather than to a not-yet-created article about the village itself. [edit] Image tagging for Image:Dena schlosser.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Dena schlosser.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:06, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Dena_schlosser.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Dena_schlosser.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:30, 8 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 15:30, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Dena_schlosser.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dena_schlosser.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 15:31, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:PurpleAki.jpg

I have tagged Image:PurpleAki.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you.

In addition you have listed Merseyside Police as the source, if this is so then presumably Crown copyright would apply to the original? ShakespeareFan00 12:00, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Icelandic weddings

Not yet my best undertaking on the en.wiki but could you clarify what you mean by tone of the article, as it is pretty close to current wedding articles... --Stalfur 02:59, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Most specifically it's with reference to "Days of yore" as a header - which is not encyclopaedic. Marwood 10:56, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wheatfields Bakery

I decided to prod and watch the page. If the creator takes it off and nothing substantial happens, I'll either speedy tag it or set it up for afd. -WarthogDemon 22:32, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] B3ta references in Akinwale Arobieke

Sounds fine to me, though I think that there are several references to that same thread looks a little messy Schlamniel 14:05, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Ipulogoblack.svg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ipulogoblack.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:03, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edit on my talk page?

Hi Marwood, curious as to why you have edited an older image-related entry on my discussion page. Also], might I finish an article before you list it for deletion. While I admire zelousness, it sems I've not been given opportunity to add references, or finish edits. Thanks. best, Jim CApitol3 12:19, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi there. The image-related entry appears to be been the result of a bug in Twinkle, which I'll report to the author. Very strange! Regards the deletion, I only prodded the article - another editor/administrator seems to have decided to speedy it instead. Marwood 12:21, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nonfiction tag in School Reunion (Doctor Who)‎

Argh, thanks for catching that. I think I was aiming to place {{plot}} instead. Cheers. --Mark H Wilkinson (t, c) 16:06, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:User categories for discussion on -isms

Hi. A user category that you are in has been proposed for deletion at Wikipedia:User categories for discussion. You are welcome to comment. Cheers! bd2412 T 02:17, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of atheists

Hello Marwood. Thanks for adding Carr, Ince and Merchant to this list. References there generally include quotes as additional confirmation that the source actually identifies the person as an atheist. Since you have access to the video sources that you cite, would you be willing to provide quotes from those sources in which the person says they are an atheist? It would be much appreciated, and would help enhance the new entries you have added. Thank you. Nick Graves 05:20, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bangor on Dee Racecourse

Hi, I've put in a proposal to merge the Bangor on Dee Racecourse article you created to Bangor-on-Dee racecourse. The two articles seem to be talking about exactly the same racecourse. Bangor-on-Dee racecourse is the form of the name used on the official site. Let me know if you agree with this. Regards, Sloman (talk) 13:22, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
