[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Phobos l.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Phobos l.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 12:38, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the response. Marsbound2024, It would be appericiable if a separate permission could get from ESA by contacting the website-owner. Space.com also does not given the peermission for reproduction. Regards, Shyam (T/C) 20:29, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:DesktopWiki(11162006).png)

Thanks for uploading Image:DesktopWiki(11162006).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] SIM PlanetQuest

Hi. I saw on your user page you were interested in Space Interferometry Mission. It is up for peer review right now and if you had any input it would greatly be appreciated. I have been toiling away on it, with an expansion from a stub class article in November to a massive expansion this past few days that has led to me nominating it for Good article status. Eventually I hope to take it to WP:FAC. I would be most interested in an outside perspective from someone who is interested in the page and/or topic. Thanks ahead of time. If you wouldn't mind leaving comments on the peer review page I linked above, that would be great. Also, you may want to take a look at the article's talk page, as I left a few notes there. Of course, this favor is redeemable for a favor of your choice, I am a member of several projects and the League of Copyeditors, if you need anything copyedited. IvoShandor 08:22, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

As an added note, I am interested in cleaning up and expanding Kepler Mission (as this page could be a future high volume one if it discovers what it's supposed to) and Terrestrial Planet Finder, which, really, along with the other two, all have the potential to eventually become very important Wikipedia pages. Perhaps you would be interested in collaborating? IvoShandor 12:55, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Cool. I am wrapped up in some other stuff right now but watch them and I will let you know when I have some time. Launches are still a bit away so it won't kill to wait a little while. But I am sure they will see a lot of traffic once big discoveries start coming in. IvoShandor 08:01, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
If I am online I am speedy with that, or try to be if there's not much to mull over before replying. This would be nice, it's tough improving article all by yourself sometimes, : ). Are you active on Wikipedia or just a sporadic user? Just curious. IvoShandor 08:36, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
No prob on the delay. Job sounds really cool! Anyway, just wanted to make sure I could contact you on Wikipedia easily. : ) We shall speak again I am certain. IvoShandor 09:48, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Galacticacrew.jpg

Hello, Marsbound2024. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Galacticacrew.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Marsbound2024. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 04:58, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
