When you copy content from a webpage and paste it into a Wikipedia page, that constitutes a copyright infringement. Additionally, the college newspaper for which you want to create an article on Wikipedia does not appear to be notable per WP:N. What I would suggest is that you create the newspaper article within your user sandbox area; then, only when you believe it meets the criteria in WP:N should you post it making sure that you have not copied content that would create a copyright infringement.
