[edit] Re: Dental drill
You left a comment at Talk:Dental drill regarding the accuracy of the Alternatives section. As you seem to be quite a bit more knowledgeable about the subject than I am, please feel welcome to make any corrections to the article you see fit. (I already left a standard boilerplate response to that effect at the talk page.) The current article on dental drills is written hastily by a layman (me) based on a quick Google search. I'm sure the Alternatives section is not the only one in need of fact-checking and expansion. Your help would be appreciated. —Ilmari Karonen 09:46, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] External links in signatures
Hi Markitos76. I noticed that you've been signing some of your recent talk page posts with an external link to your(?) dental practice: [1]. I would encourage you to refrain from doing so, as some editors may perceive such signatures as an attempt to increase your Google PageRank through linkspamming. See our guidelines at Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages for further details and a discussion of best practices.
By the way, thanks for the good, useful answers at the Reference Desk. Cheers, TenOfAllTrades(talk) 18:00, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for making that change; it's much appreciated. By the way, it's generally considered perfectly appropriate to have a few personal links on your user page: User:Markitos76. If you'd like to plug your practice there–within reason–you're more than welcome to. Cheers! TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:05, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Hello!
just thought I would drop by your talk page and say hi! Whenever I do an internet search on pretty much any dental topic your name, or dentaltwins name comes up, so I thought I would introduce myself to just about the only other dentist active on the Internet. The rest of the profession dont seem to have caught on to this Internet thing yet, in any geat numbers. I'm Ashley Payne, another general dentist, practicing in the UK. Anyhow I noticed you have been active in editing some dental articles here, and just wanted to thank you. If you have time check out dental amalgam controversy, as it is probably one of the articles most in need of a rewrite on Wikipedia right now, and your input would be much appreciated. All the best, Ashley Payne 15:54, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] June Meetup in New York

Take a peek at this and please tell any other Wikipedians that you think might be interested in participating about this event. Thanks. Alex756 02:25, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Dentistry
Hello. We have run into each other before when trying to get the name of the Dental drill article changed to Dental handpiece. In the meantime, I have been adding and improving articles related to dentistry. I thought it may be helpful to have a location to discuss dental articles and such, and so I have created a Wikiproject related to dentistry and have temporarily placed it here. If you think it would be a good idea to start such a project, please sign your support on this page. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! - Dozenist talk 21:37, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you
Thanks for answering my question on the Reference Desk, it was precisely what I was looking for. I didn't really like the answer because I need both hands to reach the keys... but that's not your fault, and I complain way too much. thanks again. VdSV9•♫ 15:38, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hiya Mark
Hiya Mark
Thanks for your response re EuroDentists.
Would it help matters, if i send a peice regarding general dentistry in Europe, with a link to our site?
We don't charge dentists, or the public on our site.
The only people who will pay a small surcharge are the Dental Associations of the European nations.
The Embassies we have approached in the UK, have been most welcoming of the concept.
It is a directory so people can find better/more economical dentists in the whole of Europe.
I noticed other links on Wikipedia, similar to ours, which made me a bit confused why ours was not accepted.
Of course a link on Wikipedia would help the site, but our main aim, is and always has been to educate people on the benefits of good dental work in Europe.
We have details on many cities in our site, as well as countries, to educate folk.
Equally, details regarding certain types of dental treatments, as some people may not know what the treatments are.
All in all, the site was created to educate people if they are in need of any form of dental work in Europe. And to put them in touch, for free, with a variety of dentists.
Can you please advise the best method of supplying a URL via Wikipedia, under your terms please?
I have a detailed piece on the dental history of Europe and the benefits of going there for your treatments, if this helps.
Once again, kind regards
Jules

[edit] cholesterol question
Thanks for your help on WP:RD/S#Questions_about_cholesterol_and_saturated_fat. I see that in fact you replied very quickly, although I was waiting a few days to see what replies would come in. Just thought I'd thank you here in case you didn't see my followup comment on the page. Slarey 18:12, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Prognathism article
This article, Prognathism, may benefit from some of us who know a little about the subject. Apparently, there is a heated debate (you can see the talk page), so it may be a good idea to stay cool and beware stepping on other's toes. Anyways, any insight you have may help. I have not personally responded yet with anything substantive, but that is because I would like to put in some effort to see how common mandibular prognathism is in blacks. - Dozenist talk 20:01, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
