[edit] Welcome
Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. I've noticed you made a few changes in the Paraguay and Asunción articles. Are you Paraguayan? If so let me know because Paraguay-related articles need a lot of work in Wikipedia. Regards. Bruno18 19:24, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Greetings
Thank you for your welcome. Yes, I am from Paraguay and I would like to collaborate to improve the quality of the Paraguay's articles. Please let me know where I can help. Mariscal8

Saludos. Bruno18 04:51, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Inquiry about neighbourhoods
Bruno18 16:39, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Locking the Asuncion and Paraguay pages
Hola! Saludos. Bruno18 17:43, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Good job
Saludos. [edit] Paraguay St.
Sorry. I'm aware that Paraguay (the country) is more important thatn Paraguay St., Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina. That's why I left the 'Paraguay' article with that name, and added just the 'For other uses, see Paraguay (desambiguation)'. It's not that I called the desambiguation page 'Paraguay', if you typed in the search the word 'Paraguay' you'll get to the country, not the street nor the desambiaguation page. Where can I find the rules for desambiguation pages? I think that if there are AT LEAST two things with the same name, there HAS to be a desambiguation page. Of course, if one of them is clearly MORE IMPORTANT, then the main article has to be called that way, but you have to add the 'For other uses, see desambiguation page'. I am wrong?

I understand your point of view, by I still think there should be a disambiguation page (although is obvious for me that 'Paraguay' should be the main article). I don't know if there is any written rule about disambiguation pages, but for example, look on the Spain page: it has a disambiguation page that leads to a jazz composition named 'Spain' and to an underground cartoonist. England, has a disambiguation page that leads to an austronaut called Anthony England! Even the United States page has a disambiguation page. I think you should try to relax and don't think that adding a link to a disambiguation page in the article of your country is minimizing the importance of the article. Besides, as a paraguayan, you should be interested in knowing all about the streets called Paraguay, all around the world.

Those are streets from Asunción, Paraguay? Look, Argentina already has a disambiguation page, you can add a link to the article "República Argentina Avenue" there, if you want to create that article. The same with Brazil, it already has a link to a disambiguation page. Of course, if you want to add the articles, I would encourage you. I didn't know there was an avenue called "República Argentina"!

You changed the subject of discussion. First, you said it didn't qualify for a disambiguation page. Now you say it doesn't qualify for an article. About the disambiguation page, look, somebody worked on that: [[1]]. You still think there shouldn't be a link to the disambiguation page in the Paraguay article now?
And about the qualification for an article. You say: "Should every street on the planet receive a wikipedia article? Just imagine how chaotic it would be!". It won't be caothic, it will be complete. I mean, if there is a category called Streets and squares of Buenos Aires, another one called Streets and squares of Madrid... I assume that the articles on streets or squares are relevant. Besides, it's not "an obscure, random street", and Borges doesn't just mentions it: he situates there the mythical founding of Buenos Aires, in one of the most classic poems in Argentine literature. Besides, nobody proposed the Paraguay St. article for deletion, something that already happened to me in other occasions. So I asume the article IS relevant.
