I was unfairly accused of being a sock.

Request reason: "Why was I blocked? I was given no reason, nor was there any proof presented against me by the blocking admin. Also, no proof was presented as to why I am the sock of the accused person."

Decline reason: "Your only edits are to an AfD and to user talk pages; this is characteristic sock behaviour. — Sandstein 06:30, 12 November 2007 (UTC)"

See your log, it says abuse of sockpuppet. Also look at your user page. You created an account, and immediately went on to vote in an AfD. That is as good as proof that is a SOCK vio. ~Jeeny (talk) 05:08, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

That wasnt why I was accused, I was accused of being a sock of an indefinately blocked account.
I'll recuse from handling this unblock, but the admin that does might want to take a look at WP:ANI#User:Marinidil. east.718 at 05:23, 11/12/2007
Can someone please explain why the hell I was blocked. I am getting pissed. Marinidil 05:24, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
You admitted to being a sock, and voted in an AfD. That is an abuse of the sock policy. It's not where it's okay to have a legit sock account to edit article space as long as the other sock does not (at least in a controversial way), edit the same ones. A sock shouldn't be created just to vote on an AfD, and then on user talk pages. It looks like like it's hiding something, in a not so helpful way to others. Hope that helps explain a bit. You should be able to use your main account, I assume. So I don't see the problem. ~Jeeny (talk) 07:11, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
This is why I dont use my main accounts on AFD's. I always get accused of something or get in trouble in some way, so I choose not to use it. This, right here, is the very reason I used an insignficiant account. Marinidil 07:45, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Request reason: "Please unblock me. This is the only rule I found even pertaining to this issue, [1]-which states A user making substantial contributions to an area of interest in Wikipedia might register another account to be used solely in connection with developing that area. That is exactly what I was doing. If there is another rule that overrules that one, I didnt know about it, nor was I warned about it at least once before I was banned. An administrator even told me what I was doing was alright and legitimate based on the rule I just presented. "

Decline reason: "Yes, there is a rule that overrules that one. It's called 'don't evade your blocks or bans using socks'. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 19:00, 12 November 2007 (UTC)"
