[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:AnotherYesterday.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:AnotherYesterday.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Feeder article
I'll give it a wee once over when I'm free. Cheers for ther heads-up! Hyperspacey 15:18, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi.
I noticed a few issues with the article you may want to look at.
- Overall, the sections are too short. Perhaps you could either lengthen them or combine them based on the band's change of musical styles?
- Copyedit-"While have attracted", "of the charties", etc.
- Standard intros are 3 paragraphs; the last paragraph is a bit short-maybe you could improve it? The :short mention of Jon Lee's suicide is a bit high up-try for chronological order.
- Also, the listing of Feeder's influences in the intro needs references. The rest of the references, however, are properly and consistently formatted-one of the plusses of the article.
- Influences section-bit short. Either try to find more or merge it with the rest of the article in some way.
- Studio albums should be listed on the page with name, release date, and chart positions.
- Lastly, delete fan sites from the external links (see WP:EL) and band logo from infobox-would fail fair use. Pop rock is really more of a conglomeration of genres; people would associate teen-pop acts with that.
- If you need any more guidelines on how to work on these, I'd see Nirvana or The Smashing Pumpkins-both FA articles.
After you fix the issues I've pointed out, just leave another message on my talk page. I'd be happy to review it for GA!ErleGrey 00:46, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Feeder (band)
At first glance, it looks fine. If you've addressed the points made by the previous reviewer, I'd go ahead and put it up for nomination again. Stability is one of the criteria for GA status, but I wouldn't worry too much about that, seeing as there's such a backlog. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 01:45, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the mail. You should cite anything controversial, any quotes and anything where you refer to a source. For example, "exploded into the mainstream" and "committed suicide" may be controversial, "friendly rivalry" is a quote, and "well-received by critics" and "reportedly" refer to sources. However, it isn't necessary to cite every sentence, as long as all the information is verifiable. DrKiernan 11:23, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
You could give it a go. Best wishes, DrKiernan 13:28, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Buck Rogers
I notice you have a PR for the above song. I have two song FAs to my credit, and believe my feedback would be of help. If you would like this feedback then feel free to message. LuciferMorgan 13:27, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- It needs some work to get to FA status - this isn't a criticism by the way. The main work which needs to be done is structural. I'll get back to you with some feedback soon. LuciferMorgan 19:16, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Feedback
I'll add to this list over a period, or possibly get hands on with the article;
- "As the track has only appeared in lists voted for by a group of people dedicated to a particular magazine and/or radio station rather than the general public, it could be said that it has achieved cult classic status due to the dedicated cult following it has achieved amongst those people." - This is mere speculation. Unless you can attribute this opinion to a specific critic, it should be removed. LuciferMorgan 19:29, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've taken the liberty of performing a basic restructure of the article. LuciferMorgan 19:44, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
How are things shaping up thus far on the song article? You taken a look at "Eyes of the Insane" to get a rough idea of how a song FA is structured? Could help you. LuciferMorgan 12:48, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] I have a free image of the band Feeder taken in 2001
I'll upload this to see if it could be useful to the article, although not right just now as it is a printed photograph. I'd appreciate your comments when I upload it. Thanks.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 14:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Uploaded the file, about to add it to the article. Tell me what you think.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 11:22, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- I mean, it is a digital camera image of a printed photograph, but it works, apart from the flash of light under Taka's armpit. I don't have a scanner.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 11:44, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think the article's looking good on the whole, and could be resubmitted for GA. I'd be willing to help promote it to FA status if necessary afterwards - Feeder were one of my favourite bands in 2001, and after having met them at a signing (that's my hand in the picture shaking Taka's hand) and having seen them live in 2003, I'd like to see the article promoted to FA, which I truly think is within reach. Right now, I'm trying to get another band article, King Crimson, to FA status (is already at GA). Could you take a look at that and possibly compare it with the Feeder article? Different types of band, definitely, but the articles should adhere to the same high quality standards ideally.-h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 17:34, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

You could add the free-use images from the band members' pages. Yes, of course, an audio-clip or two would add to the article significantly, but you'd have to make sure that the fair-use rationales were watertight, editors are getting quite fussy about fair use at the moment. [edit] RE:Feeder (band)
The article is great; just follow the procedure at WP:FAC and wait for input. Happy editing! --Boricuæddie 21:11, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't have to link to the latest version, just the version I reviewed. --Boricuæddie 21:30, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reply
Generally I try to avoid voting in FLCs unless I have some kind of objection, but I'll take a look. -- Scorpion0422 16:01, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- It looks good, and don't worry, more votes will come. It's only been open for 2 days after all. -- Scorpion0422 16:11, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] LOTD proposal
You have nominated a recent WP:FLC. There have been two recent proposals to begin a List of the Day feature on the main page, which have both received majorities but have not been approved as overwhelming support sufficient for the main page. WP:LOTDP is a new proposal to try to get the ball rolling based on the original proposal. Voice your thoughts on its talk page.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 21:21, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] LOTD experiment
Now that my project is fully up and running, I though you might want to consider the four main benefits of my method over the one that you seem to be supporting:
- There is a set of orphaned articles for persons who do not have any featured lists of their own or persons that would like to take responsibility for more. Anyone can nominate such orphans. This benefits WP by getting people involved in list articles that might not have active editors to update them or defend them against vandalism. Please consider adopting one of our orphans.
- Each list will be encouraged to respond to commentary and feedback during the candidacy period, which will hopefully improve the quality of the articles.
- Articles without pictures will be encouraged to find them. E.g., List of Harry Potter films cast members had no image before its nominator added an image for this experiment. This type of thing, of course, improves the project.
- Articles are encouraged to add relevant projects to their talk page. This alerts other project to articles that they would likely have an interest in and would be able to either improve or protect.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:44, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Peter Schmeichel

[edit] WP:LOTD
You are the nominator of a WP:FL that was promoted in the last month. I am inviting you to participate in nominations and voting in a List of the Day experiment I am conducting at WP:LOTD.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 00:13, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] BPI
Hi, I see that in your Feeder discography, you've included information on the British certification of albums. I had a mooch around the website, but couldn't seem to figure out how to search for entries. Did you need to pay to do what you did? Thanks, Seegoon (talk) 01:52, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
