[edit] Atari 2600 merge

Hi Marchije. I noticed that the merge tags on Atari 2600 and Atari 2600 hardware both propose to merge the one article into the other. (Hardware into A2600, and A2600 into Hardware.) Could you please clarify which direction you want to merge? I would suggest that the merge should go Hardware -> A2600, but since you're the one suggesting the merge, you decide. :)

If you wish to merge Hardware into A2600, please replace the current merge tag on Atari 2600 with {{mergefrom}}, to indicate that you want to merge the other article into that one. Likewise, if you want to go the other way, then the mergefrom tag should go on Atari 2600 hardware.

Thanks. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 06:13, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pike

No problem. I put the disambig tag back on; did you restore the fr:, de: and any others? --AndrewHowse (talk) 15:08, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Good stuff. Now to disambig all the links ... --AndrewHowse (talk) 15:23, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Brothers

Hi--Since I recently repaired the dab The Brothers myself, and I don't see what needs to be "cleaned up", I'm curious what changes you are making?--ShelfSkewed Talk 16:08, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I think I'll follow up by asking Abtract why it was marked for cleanup. Cheers --ShelfSkewed Talk 16:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Good job for creating all those stubs. That's initiative above and beyond. You can't be as new to Wikipedia as your account makes it seem, can you? In any case, nice work. --ShelfSkewed Talk 20:03, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Little context in John Taylor, Baron Taylor of Holbeach

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on John Taylor, Baron Taylor of Holbeach, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because John Taylor, Baron Taylor of Holbeach is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting John Taylor, Baron Taylor of Holbeach, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Apologies!

My apologies for the edit to John Taylor (hymn writer) while you had the {{inuse}} tag on -- I'm so used to seeing {{underconstruction}} on new articles that I didn't read it carefully enough. I hope I didn't mess you up. (hanging head in shame...)--Fabrictramp (talk) 00:14, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Turn

About the items listed in #Songs, they appear to be at the wrong page name. Shouldn't the dabbing be "(single)" since the links target their respective CD singles? Please reply below. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 21:40, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. Are you saying that heading should be "singles" rather than "songs"? Or are you saying there should be one dab page for songs named "Turn"? Marchije (talk) 18:09, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Either option. Which do you think would be best? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 18:11, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
I had used the heading "songs" because the titles of both links included the word "song". I'll leave the decision up to you. Marchije (talk) 18:32, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
How's this looking? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 18:42, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Looks good to me. Marchije (talk) 02:30, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Baykal (disambiguation)

This user has just reverted your "cleanup" on the dab. What to do? I don't agree with the revert, however. Please reply below. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 23:27, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up. I don't have any issue with the changes to the section headings and the order of the links...it's all a matter of taste, and while I question the comment about how an urban locality is "more important" than rural ones and therefore should be listed first, it's really no skin off of my back and I have a feeling it might lead to a slightly "political" disagreement, which I would rather avoid.
I have however posted a message on Ezhiki's take page about the changes he made to the opening sentence and his moving of Baikal highway under the heading "Rural localities".
I also plan to ask User:Mikkalai about my "meaningless and erroneous microsecting".

[edit] Re your Baykal dab message

Hi, Marchije! Thanks for your message.

Regarding the opening line, you might want to take a look at Talk:Baykal (disambiguation), where it was discussed in much detail (and, I'm sorry to admit, often in hot tempers). "My" version, in fact, is not really mine but rather a compromise outcome of the discussion. Anyway—take a look at the talk page; after reading it you might very well find yourself having stepped right in the middle of a proverbial can of worms :)

As for the highway, it wasn't me who moved it to the "rural localities" section, it was you who grouped it in "Geography" and me who overlooked it when subdividing the Geography section into subsections. You are, of course, correct that it does not qualify as a "locality". In any case, seeing that Mikka has removed most of the "microsections" (an action I neither agree nor disagree with), the point is moot now. I don't have a strong opinion regarding whether the subsections so details are really necessary.

Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions, though. Cheers,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 13:58, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Not anymore they don't. Well, I hope they don't, anyway :) I sure have taken it too personally at some point. Shame on me :) Anyways, thanks again.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 18:20, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
