Please do not add commercial links — or links to your own private websites — to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. I am surprised to hear that as my site is very UNcommercial as opposed to say the isixsigma site which is listed as an external resource.
So - What criteria was used to determine that isixsigma, for example, is not a commercial site when it has advertisements all over it and it is totally FOR PROFIT?
- Please take a look at Wikipedia's external link policy. Links are chosen primarily for their value to a reader looking for information, and in that sense isixsigma is a strong resource, or at least, one of the best I've seen on the internet. A forum, on the other hand, is not normally the best way to get a quick overview of anything. Regarding "link spammer"; see the section "What should not be linked to" on the external link policy page. Under that, you will find the text "Links that are added to promote a site, by the site operator or its affiliates. See External link spamming." I'm not saying you were acting maliciously, I'm just saying that you added a link to your own website to over a dozen articles, and that is considered spamming according to Wikipedia. In general, writing articles about yourself or things you've done is frowned upon around here. The thinking is that if it's really noteworthy, someone else will write about it. Hope that makes sense. --Spangineeres (háblame) 06:51, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
