[edit] Adopt me?
I saw you're open for adoptees and your skill set is where I need the most help, even though I've been an editor for two years.
- For instance, I don't know if this is a categorization problem, or a vandalism problem, but take a look at Category:Criminals and then go to the entry which appears (?) to be a Wiki user page, listed under "U" at the bottom of the Criminals category listing: User Page, or Article Page? I cannot figure out what is going on here. The criminal's name is not Spelunkster, for one thing.
- I'd also like help regarding piping inside a Category designation. I need the info after the pipe to be the way the article appears in the category list (e.g., the name of the person made famous rather than the name of the incident which made them famous) but it's just not working out that way.
Halp! And thanks. I'm in U.S. eastern time zone, but often up when you are. I will check this page for your answer so you needn't go over to mine, or we can use email if you prefer it (as I do). -- LisaSmall T/C 00:44, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Marbles, I got your note and I have put the box on my page & emailed you. Looking forward to working with you, thanks again! Sorry to have been dim about the sandbox thing; I should have figured that out for myself. -- LisaSmall T/C 23:24, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Thebox.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Thebox.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 11:30, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:6tv.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:6tv.PNG. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:40, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Netscape2007logo Wiki.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Netscape2007logo Wiki.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:13, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Park Resorts
A tag has been placed on Park Resorts, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 20:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- I think Twinkle posted this on your talk page because you were the original creator of the article. Another editor has since removed the spammy content and removed the speedy deletion notice. – ukexpat (talk) 22:09, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
