Are you the same editor as 66.91.116.188 ? If so, why did you delete all the wikilinks? They connected this article with others and were relevant. I deleted the links to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu because we are not part of that diocese. We are Ukrainian Catholics – not Roman Catholics. That the boundaries of these two Catholic churches overlap is immaterial – our Eparchy also overlaps with the Ruthenian Catholics and the Melkite Catholics, etc. – should links to all particular churches within the Catholic Church that overlap with our Eparchy in the state of Hawaii be included? I don’t think so. Lastly, I did not realize that I had dropped the okina – will go back and restore it. Mar Isaac 19.13, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

You don't have to tell me about Ukrainian Catholic vs. Roman Catholic. But in any event, if I were doing an article on a Ukrainian church in (say) Boston, I would expect to see a link to the RC diocese of Boston. In this case, as far as I know, there aren't any other organized Eastern Churches in Hawaii except the Orthodox. Gimmetrow 19:18, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

I made a couple of very minor edits (of/in and Chicaco/Chicago), and also deleted the paragraph about Fr. Hal's resignation, his sabbatical and Fr. Karepin. The last are immaterial to our community - resignation of a RC post, short sabbatical, and a visiting priest on vacation who served a few (but much appreciated) Divine Liturgies during Fr. Hal's short absence. If I might inquire - the original material on this page raised much consternation and curiosity within our community - have you visited us and do we perhaps know you? I didn't write the original content of the article. I have visited, but rarely. You are correct that the story of Fr. Hal is not necessarily part of the story of St. Sophia, but a separate bio on Fr. Hal would be short. Short articles in this context are often merged together. (Often the bio of a diocesan bishop is covered in a paragraph in the article on the diocese.) I think it is somewhat notable that the current pastor is a retired former vicar forane of the RC diocese, and would like to see that included. I also think it would be helpful to have this article listed in the diocese of honolulu category; that functions as the category for all Catholics in Hawaii. But I'll let you handle it. Hello again. Saw you editing. "See also" is for links to other wiki articles, off-site links go in an "External links" section. See WP:GTL for more information. Did www.stnicholaseparchy.org just come back online? I couldn't find it a couple days ago. Anyway, that brings me to a problem you might be able to help with. I have ecclesiastical heraldry up as a featured article candidate, but the two eastern images have copyright problems. Does anyone there have a public domain image of a coat of arms? A scan from a book published before 1923 would work, I think. Or maybe someone has the time and photoshop skills to make one? Thanks in advance. Gimmetrow 04:07, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

About all I could come up with was a very small greyscale image of the coat-of-arms of the Patriarch of Antioch. I've uploaded it and you should be able to get it here: http://home.hawaii.rr.com/jps64/files/Antioch2.jpg In the image, the two men are Peter & Paul, both prime movers in the early Antiochian community and the keys of course reference Peter being Bishop of Antioch before later becoming Bishop of Rome. Where does the image come from? What is the copyright status? Is it from a public domain clip-art collection? If it's not public domain, or can't be released into public domain, it's probably not going to help. Gimmetrow 16:54, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

It is a thumbnail image of a much larger image (now lost) scanned some years ago from a piece of stationary. I've no idea what how/if copyright applies to a crest on stationary. Good luck. Mar Isaac

Yes, an image on stationary is generally copyrighted unless the copyright has been lost due to time or government rules. I was hoping you had access to some set of public domain images the eparchy might provide for setting up a web page, or some other public domain Catholic or Orthodox clip-art.
