My name is Marisa (see pronunciation). I am a university student majoring in English and Computer Science for a Bachelor's degree. After graduation, I intend on pursuing an M.S. in Computational Linguistics.

For those of you wondering about the ethnicity/ancestry tags (and how in the world such a mish-mash even happened), my Father is from Puerto Rico (who, for the sake of simplifying the next statement, calls himself a 'Puerto Rican' and refers to it as 'the old country') , and my Mother is an American with Pawnee ancestry on her Mother's side, and German, Irish, Norwegian, Dutch, English, and French ancestry on her Father's side -- to my knowledge, I am dominantly German in terms of the European ancestries. We found out that one of the surnames on that side of the family is apparently German-Jewish, but we haven't checked into it.
