To create articles for ALL significant shipwrecks
To ensure shipwreck articles offer accurate, sourced information including historical relevance
To create and apply a standard format for shipwreck articles
To assess shipwreck articles and improve them as indicated

This project is designed to cover shipwrecks that are:

historically notable - for being a rare example of an antique vessel;
newsworthy - for the event that caused the wreck, or as a recent discovery; or
of ongoing interest - as a popular dive site or other attraction.
