[edit] Class Project

I'm working on this page for a class project and this is my first article which would explain my many confusing edits. Thanks to everyone who's been helpful! I'm going to be working regularly on this page for the next couple weeks and hope it's alright to work on the page over several days. If that's not kosher please let me know and I'll work something out. Thanks again! Eliz83 (talk) 04:44, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge of Mary Kenney O'Sullivan and which name should be used

By chance I came across an article at Mary Kenney O'Sullivan, which refers to the subject of this article. Unfortunately (and unhelpfully :) ), the sources use both spellings of the name. While the name in Ireland is almost always spelt Kenny - several pages of Kenny as opposed to one usage of Kenney, in my unscientific check of my local phone directory - and, while I am inclined to think that the clerks at Ellis ISland have something to answer for here, the question remains: which usage should be used here? There are a few mentions of the subject in Wikipedia which could be linked and both versions are used. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 00:48, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Addition Actually, a quick look at the sources suggests that they favour Kenney, with the second "e". (Sigh)FlowerpotmaN·(t) 01:02, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
