[edit] AFD

  • I closed the AfD as No Consensus (rather than Keep) because there didn't seem to be much support for the current state of the article. It clearly needs some work but there is no consensus for deletion either. Eluchil404 (talk) 01:24, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
  • Work needed: this article needs to be split into two and both need separate sourcing, with a disambiguation page. (See AFD.) --Lquilter (talk) 17:42, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Done. --Lquilter (talk) 17:49, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
    • The AFD concerned Mary Burns not [[Mary Burns (US Civil War soldier)), did it not? --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:54, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
      • It was sort of a disambiguation page that covered both women each with a one-sentence line. I deemed that English Mary Burns was more notable than this one so I put her at the main page, and copied the AFD to all three pages because I thought that would help people figure out the history. --Lquilter (talk) 05:06, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unsourced? Non-Notable?

This article is ready to be speedy-deleted unless it asserts notability. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 16:18, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

  • I have no comments on the notability of this person, but it seems like the other folks in the AFD thought she was notable. --Lquilter (talk) 18:22, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Actually, the AfD said the other Mary Burns was notable. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 23:22, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, you're right. I know the other one is notable; I had thought somehow that there was general comments about this one too. --Lquilter (talk) 16:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
