[edit] Second trailer

I cannot claim to have NPOV, so I won't update the article myself, but the second trailer referred to on IGN is for Marvel Legends/Ultimate Alliance, and has nothing to do with MUO. (And what's in the MUO trailer has nothing to do with the game really, so speculation is probably a bad idea.) piman 03:29, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

JUst revert my edits, if you want to. UnDeRsCoRe 20:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
The other trailer listed on IGN is in fact for Marvel Ultimate Alliance and not Marvel Universe Online, the date it was posted to IGN, not to mention title, shows that it is not for MUO. Please, when reverting a part of a recent edit, only revert that part and not also all the other valid edits as well.

[edit] Character List!

Just To Let People Know I Decided To Make A Table Containing All The Characters From the Trailer And In Turn In The Game! —Preceding unsigned comment added by LloydyJr (talkcontribs)

Listen, just because they appeared in the trailer dosen't mean they'll appear in the game. UnDeRsCoRe 21:22, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
The only characters that appear in the trailer are: Apocalypse, Captain America, Cyclops, Daredevil, Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, Nick Fury, Galactus, the Hulk, Magneto, Nightcrawler, the Punisher, Quicksilver, a Sentinel, Spider-Man, the Thing and Wolverine. Please stop adding characters to this list.PureSoldier 03:39, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Uatu and Cable are also visible - right near the end. (81.23.56.40 12:38, 11 December 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Cryptic

should the irony of marvel sueing cryptic over makeing a super hero game and then marvel having cryptic make there own super hero mmo be mentioned
—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.61.65.64 (talkcontribs) 10:15, 2006 October 22 (UTC)

No, that would be editorialization, and not specificaly related to the content of this article. Info about that law suit is appropriate for either the City of Heroes, Cryptic Studios, or Marvel Comics and/or Marvel Entertainment articles.
—Asatruer 20:32, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Actually it would be appropriate to mention this but only if done in the correct context and with citation. It is, after all, an interesting turn of events in the history of development of the game. My suggestion would be to find a good published (not blog) reference that specifically talks about Marvel's announcement of Cryptic's involvement in the game. Then you can use that reference to include something like this: "Marvel announced in 2006 the development of the game in partnership with game developer Cryptic, a somewhat surprising choice at the time given a past lawsuit by Marvel against Cryptic over their City of Heroes game (see XXXX for details)." Include as a footnote reference the published source that says the same thing. That way you're not implying anything untoward about either Marvel or Cryptic, but you are correctly identifying interesting, verifiable historical twist relevant to that section. [edit] For the PS3

I am watching comic-con '07 and on the scrolling bottom bar it said marvel universe online would be for both the PS3 and Xbox360 though i hope its true i find it strange that a project that microsoft is working directly with would be for the PS3 i'm going to wait for it to come again.Did anyone else see this?.Parralax 23:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

MUO will be available for the PC and possibly the Xbox 360,(Many MMO's start with the intention of having a console version like SWG did but soon stick with the tried and true PC platform) there is no mention of the PS3. As of point now it is doubtful MUO will ever see launch, considering we have heard absolutely nothing about the title since it was announced.

Keep in mind Microsoft has axed its last Five MMO projects that were in development, the moment Microsoft thinks the game will not get WoW like subscriber numbers it kills the project. They will not settle for anything less than a multi-million subscriber base, Jordan Wiseman said so many times.

[edit] Character Creation

I wondering whether or not you can create your own super heros or what. Hopefully that's how it works. I think everyone would get sick of seeing 400 Spidermans running around. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcwil477 (talk • contribs) 16:52, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

They could make an instance layer for each MU, so if there are 400 Spider-Mans then there are 400 instances. If people want to play together they have to be different heroes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.117.2.1 (talk) 14:57, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cancelation confirmed.

I'm not yet comfortable enough with editing wikipedia articles to make the change myself, but this game's cancelation is now confirmed rather than rumored.
