[edit] Spring Cleaning

I cleaned up the article, archived the talk page, and rearranged stuff. It still needs more trimming and feel free to check my work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mithmaleki (talkcontribs)

I revised the difference in graphics between the xbox 360 and the ps3. I used http://www.gamespot.com/features/6162742/p-4.html as my reference if anyone wants to see for themselves. And if anyone wants they can clean up what I edit, to make it sound cleaner.

The article needed quite a bit of "spring cleaning". There were large tracts of text that were POV and very verbose. For example, the Character section now gives the gist of what is involved. Repetitive sentences also pulled. Culled two unnecessary images and enlarged the group shot for more visual impact. The PC/console section is still a tad sloppy, but the article is now much improved.

[edit] Voice Actors

Main voice actors

This is a list of Actors that were in the game. Now someone may feel they are important for merely being in the game but without notability, these actors are fluff for this article. My suggestion is that someone with some video game knowledge edit a FEW of these back in to the article and explain how they are notable and then at the end link to the IMDB's article on this game for the complete list of actors. The main thing is establishing notability for a couple of the biggest actors. Example (Not facts) : Tasia Valenza, awarded for her work in Halo as the Voice of Cortana, is also the Voice of Spider-woman. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mithmaleki (talkcontribs)

I don't know, I frankly don't mind a list of the main characters as voice actors. Actors being notable for other things, shouldn't justify them being here. Main characters should be listed no matter what. It was a lot worse in the past, so the improved list is certainly not fluff. I also feel just removing the content is a bit disruptive. The edit summary of "see talk page" doesn't help the matter much. RobJ1981
I've added the IMDB link to the external links section. This page has a list of all the voice actors, so it's not really necessary to go over them here. If we really need a voice actors section, just mention the most important ones in prose and point people in the direction of the link if they want to know more. Also, in defence of Mithmaleki, a lack of people being WP:BOLD is what let this article get in such a state in the first place. Miremare 16:37, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Good idea, I didn't think of listing IMDB as a solution. RobJ1981 16:56, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
I removed the list to potentially motivate someone who wanted to just revert, so that they might reform it and then link to IMDB. Im sorry if I was a little bold, in hindsight I guess I could have given more of a reason then look at talk page. I also apologize for unsigned entries...it is a bad habit of mine.Mithmaleki 18:39, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
If only we knew the voices of the other unidentified NPC heroes villains. It almost sounds like Peter Lurie voiced Sabretooth, Robin Atkin Downes reprised Cyclops, Crispin Freeman was Atlantean Guard #1, James Sie was one of Mandarin's footsoldiers, and Cam Clarke was one of the Viking Warriors that you have to fight at Bifrost Bridge and Niffleheim. I'm just looking for unidentified roles to add to IMDb. Rtkat3 (talk) 4:31, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
This isn't the place to talk about IMDb. As the talkheader states: This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance article. This is not a forum for general discussion about the article's subject. Seeing as how the voice actors isn't a big issue anymore, discussing improvements to it's list on IMDb isn't relevant to article discussion. RobJ1981 21:24, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Can we still discuss identified VAs for those not identified? Some of it's episodes are on YouTube if you want to take a crack at it. Rtkat3 (talk) 2:41, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Golden Edition

I thoguht I heard that the golden Edition is on the Wii, is that true? 72.213.167.17 02:01, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

A quick search brought up nothing on google or amazon so I say no...atleast for nowMithmaleki 13:20, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Might want to add that the Gold Edition makes the DLC characters available in the Characters section. Also, Ghost Rider's main costume is Daniel Ketch, Johnny Blaze is Costume 2. Big Tables like that don't survive my edits.
While that may be the costume Ketch wore while Ghost Rider, it is also the costume that Blaze wears in the new Ghost Rider comics. Throughout the entire game he is only ever referred to as Johnny Blaze. Daniel Ketch is not in this game in any form, other than the fact that Johnny's current costume is a replica of Daniel's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.12.145.128 (talk) 14:22, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bias

The PS3/X360 is highly biased and contains unnessary details. The graphics quality isn't important and things like "an overall cleaner image" should be removed.

I agree, seems like bias to me. I'll remove that and re-word some wordings in that section. Theseven7 10:24, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you, I read your edits and it's much better.

No problem! This article is pretty good I think. Theseven7 00:51, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

I think the point of adding that was merely to show differences between each platform. I don't think it's beyond merit to write that the X-Box 360 and PS3 versions could have something written along the lines of "Improved graphics over other platforms due to hardware." It's a well known fact that PS3, 360, and PC versions almost always look graphically superior to 6th generation systems and usually the Wii. That is not a statement of opinion, it's just a fact that the 6th generation systems don't have the hardware capabilities as their updated counterparts. The Wii also doesn't possess the graphical capabilities of other systems in it's generation due to Nintendo opting to choose gameplay over enhanced graphics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.1.137.34 (talk) 18:57, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Punisher/She-Hulk

While not exactly relevant, does anybody know the reason for absence for The Punisher and She-Hulk in the game? If its a good enough reason it could be mentioned in the article. They did a great job of including most notables but the absence of Punisher and She-Hulk seem a little weird to me to this day, both are pretty big players in the Marvel universe. Theseven7 00:52, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Punisher because THQ has the license. She-Hulk fell under Hulk's license with Seira. 71.1.41.198 18:11, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

hey, i have a doubt in the loadscreen review on the playstation 2 version i have all loadscrrens less one that is between iron man and luke cage' loadscreens could you tell me which is it and how can i get it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.193.137.14 (talk) 04:17, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] flaw

the game had many flaws like on the snow levels if you use a flying character if you hold down the fly button you will be able to fly up to no limit but you got to be moving in random directions and the ghost rider voice squeeks every once in a while he was talking high pitch in mephisto's realm and on the battle with doom silver surfer can fall through the floor and there is a glitch where when you hit somone they bounce back real far even if you do a weak attack or the pop up they go up up up and dont come down for a long time. and when you battle galactus if you hold down space bar on pc version sometimes you wont have to press other buttons. [edit] Forza 2 bundle

This section seems to be unclear at points. I edited it, but someone keeps making changes. The copy bundled with Forza is or the original release. Unlike the two later releases it does not come with the additional characters, they must be purchased from the marketplace. By saying previously released versions it implies they are all the same, which isn’t the case. It has to say that it’s just a rerelease of the original version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.31.106.34 (talk) 15:01, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Versions

Firstly, the X-Box section is completely empty. Don't know if it got deleted or some such thing at some point, but there's nothing in it now. Furthermore, I think this section could probably do a bit more explaining the differences. I assume it's just aesthetic, but it looks like certain unlockable characters are only available in the X-Box 360 version. RobertM525 (talk) 21:08, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Samus/Link/Captain Britain

The video showing Samus (and the other showing Link) came from an ex-developer's website originally. As an ex-dev, he could have been testing these characters on his PS2. It should NOT be assumed that this footage got sent to Nintendo.

As for Captain Britain, since it is unknown whether he would have been a playable character or a NPC it is best to simply leave him out. 149.166.165.126 (talk) 21:20, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
