[edit] Vita Malchi
"...it contains a reference to an expression of Jerome's in the opening chapter of his Vita Malchi" Is this reference in its prologue? --Wetman 18:06, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- I don't read Latin (since 8th grade) but the quote would be a propos here. Vita Malchi.--Stbalbach 18:39, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

- The Vita Malchi says in the introduction "Scribere enim disposui...ab adventu salvatoris usque ad nostram aetatem, id est, ab apostolis, usque ad nostri temporis faecem..." ("I decided to write [a history, mentioned earlier] from the coming of the savior up to our age, that is, from the apostles, up to the dregs of our time"). I don't know what the Martyrologium quotes exactly (is it online anywhere?), but from the description in the article that seems to be it. Adam Bishop 17:05, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
