[edit] Shown on Sky TV?

I've removed this footnote:

<ref name="sky">{{cite web |url=http://www.information.tv/ronke/205kingslandrd |publisher=Information TV |title=205 Kinglsand Road |date=[[2006]] |accessdate=2006-01-05}}</ref>

It seemed to purport to provide evidence that MJC's work had been shown on Sky TV. However, the web page seems (I'm not entirely sure) to offer this 11-minute video to any TV company that's interested; it doesn't say where (if anywhere) it was shown. -- Hoary 03:00, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

that would be your misunderstanding I think. Artlondon 15:41, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Very possibly. OK, I'm game: How and where does the linked page say that the work was shown on Sky TV? -- Hoary 15:43, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

I can't find any reference to anyone being able to buy this film; Can we trust (cite) the artist's own website? Artlondon 15:53, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of FACT tags

In this edit, User:Artlondon removed a pile of FACT tags.

Don't remove a FACT tag unless you take one of the following three measures:

  • Provide the source as required
  • Remove the assertion for which a source was asked
  • Explain on this talk page how the request for a source is unreasonable

Thank you. -- Hoary 14:34, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

I was in the process of correcting them to citation, you only gave me 10 mins. i wanted a cup of tea Artlondon 15:20, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, life's a -- no, Wikipedia editing is a bitch. [smiley] -- Hoary 15:35, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm okay if you want to remove this section from this talk page. Artlondon 15:51, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "honorary research fellow"?

Callanan is a Honorary Research Fellow to Susan Alexis Collins

Does this mean that he helps her without getting any pay?

I've heard of research fellows (researching for themselves), and I've heard of research assistants. I've not heard of research fellows (let alone capitalized ones) researching for somebody else. -- Hoary 00:13, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

i remember adding a citation for this; you removed it. Artlondon 11:10, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
There was a link to this, which confirms that he's an Honorary Research Fellow within SCEMFA; it doesn't say what this means (I guess it means unpaid researcher) and it doesn't say that he's a fellow "to" anyone. -- Hoary 11:57, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Monograph, book, booklet

Callanan's "monograph", now "book", is (I read on an independent site) 48 pages long. How is "booklet" a less accurate or less informative term than "book"? -- Hoary 11:57, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

i take monograph may have been not have been the best word. book is a generic term and widely accepted; as demonstrated in the difference between book and booklet, the latter mearly refering to book. The page [[book] talks about booklet under types of book, but only to say "small books can be called booklets". The publisher calls it a book. Artlondon 12:51, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Images

Image:CallananAudioCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
