Does anyone know what he did after 1960? Were he lived? Is he still living? user:pzg ratzinger

I did check a number of sources but saw nothing. I would guess he sought anonymity and lived the rest of his life in obsurity. Piercetp 23:46, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
I was wondering about that, too. He probably isn't going to be visiting VFW halls, that's for sure! A2Kafir 14:44, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cause for treason arrest?

The article: "He was serving as a sergeant when the FBI rearrested him in 1948. He was charged with treason and sentenced to 25 years in prison." What did he do for the treason charge? 23:56, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

It is quite simple. His original arrest in 1945 was on his desertion from the US military. Joining an enemy force in war with the United States (Waffen-SS) and actively fought with them against the US is treason. --JNZ (talk) 06:40, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
