Random Question
Is he the son of Richard Brodeur? Marcus1060 03:47, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- No, Denis Dark Lord Revan 23:35, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Spelling and POV
Terms like "amazing" and "incredible" are not encyclopedic. Having in-depth year-by-year review of his hockey carreer is actually a very interesting approach, but pls try to avoid it seeming like a blog by a Brodeur fan. Themindset 17:51, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
good to see the chenin addition... Im glad we're expanding our info to include everything about the man, his whole, the combination of parts
"His implications with the village are now done"
This needs to be re-worded.
Help me fix this article up
I would like to attempt to get this article to GA status right now, and I know it's possible. If anyone wants to help me work on it then feel free to. It needs a lot of references, and needs to be structured better, for right now. Sportskido8 22:19, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- I guess I could add a few things about him tomorow, I got his stats lying around somewhere, so I'll add that and what ever info I can get my hands on. EnsignLovel 11:38, 23 January 2007

- Article's looking pretty good, I think I will nominate it for GA-status soon. Sportskido8 20:58, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Marty Rules!
Je T'aime Martin!!!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.136.66.22 (talk • contribs) 01:42, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
I've Been to some games and I am a leafs fan, I went to the games where Marty played. And I left the arena speechless. I've never seen any body move so quickly post to post. he is the best i've ever seen hands down (next to Patty Roy of cource). EnsignLovel 11:44 23 January 2007
Just to let you know, talk pages aren't for opinions on how much you like a player, leave that up to hockey forums. As a disliking Brodeur fan, I think he's so good said by everyone cause he's Canadian (I'm Canadian, so it's not an insult), more well-known and probably more famous, but Dominik Hasek should get some credit anyway. I could go on about why Hasek is better. If you really want to know, leave me a message. Hasek is the best 03:13, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Records
I'm torn. Should the records be a list (easier to read) or prose (harder to grasp, but nicer encyclopedic format)? Sportskido8 19:06, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Use Wayne Gretzky as a template. He's got lots of references to his personal records there, but he also has his own separate page just for him to keep the space issue down (granted, he owns a lot more records than Marty, but by the time he's done, Martin will be to goalies what Gretzky was to forwards). Martin Brodeur the stone wall
Martin brodeur has been said to be the best Goaltender in the world. And he's even writen his own book. And he even wore the c on his jersey when he played in some europ league or some other minor hockey league. "He is the greatest goalie to ever step onto NHL ice." EnsignLovel Im interested to see how long he will stay in the NHL, he's not that old and I believe he still has some more golden years to come. (ten years give or take) EnsignLovel
Goal scoring
It's pretty rare that an NHL goaltender scores a goal, and the fact that Brodeur has done so should be in the lead. Why someone keeps taking it out is beyond me. 204.149.81.4 21:25, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, ok I put it back. Happy? Sportskido8 22:44, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Marty's Better chant
Just wondering if we could throw in a reference to the "Marty's Better" chant that every visiting goaltender faces when they play the Devils in Jersey, like here: [1] and here: [2]. I wanted to bring it up on the talk page before making an edit to the main page if there's nowhere it would fit logically. Anthony Hit me up... 18:58, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
GA Nomination
I have listed this article for GA consideration today. I think that it can pass for that at this point. Sportskido8 07:22, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Isn't there a nomination page? Anyway, just removed the current season stats, all hockey articles should follow the recommended structure. Looks good in general. --Krm500 20:03, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
